INTRODUCTION

Robust hydraulic fracturing technology is improving operational efficiency and lowering cost per BOE with a rapid payout in North Dakota. An operator completed six wells with Propel SSP® technology—a proppant and fluid system in one—that uniformly distributes proppant throughout the fluid column. The operator compared this six-well performance with five offset wells completed with a gel-based fluid and frac sand.
